Day of Caring

The Livingston County United Way’s Day of Caring is the largest single-day volunteer event in Livingston County!

The high-impact event has grown over the years with over 750 volunteers working on 48 projects in 2023! Volunteers are needed for morning, afternoon or all-day shifts to do yard work for local seniors, wash windows, make minor household repairs, paint, harvest at community gardens, hold food drives, and more. Community Connect

Community Connect is a one-day community-wide event connecting local families in need to free services. The annual event is typically held the first Saturday in February at Parker Middle School (Howell). Hundreds of volunteers are needed to greet guests; help guest navigate the event; connect to resources and free items.

United Way Committees

[1st Saturday in February] Free one-day event connecting people to needed resources such as food, clothing, health screenings, legal assistance, haircuts, and more. Both committee members and event volunteers are needed.

[April-May] One-day commitment to review local program and initiative requests, making final recommendations for funding for the upcoming year.
