New Logo, Coordinator
When Livingston County businesses and residents want to volunteer, they look to Volunteer Livingston and volunteerlivingston.org, a program of Livingston County United Way. Visitors to the website search the online database for new and ongoing volunteer opportunities.
The new year brings a fresh new look with an updated logo, and welcomes a new program coordinator, Brenna Wheeler.
Brenna comes to the United Way from Central Michigan 2-1-1 where she was the manager for a number of years.
“Brenna has lots of ideas and brings great energy to the Volunteer Livingston program,” shared Nancy Rosso, Executive Director of Livingston County United Way. “Brenna’s past experience with the 2-1-1 program helps her to know how to make the important connections to best help the community. We are excited to have her on board to move our volunteer program forward.”
More than a Volunteer Database
Volunteer Livingston hosts monthly volunteer coordinator meetings that help support local organizations on how to best work with their volunteers. Volunteers from all over the county enjoy its annual volunteer appreciation event, usually held in September.
Volunteer Livingston is also working on organizing a Volunteer Reception Center, in the event of a local major disaster.
