We recently sat down with LCUW Intern and 2014 competition winner Mikaela Cooper to talk about her experience with our annual video contest and why high school students should choose to participate. Cooper, who is now studying Electronic Media & Film Studies and Communication at Eastern Michigan University, believes that creating a video for Livingston County United Way helped her to solidify her interest in videography on a real-life issue. Students who participate make a tremendous impact on our community. Last year’s winning video, “Imagine,” has thousands of views on our website, YouTube page, and Facebook. Any current high school student in Livingston County can participate, and submissions are due on April 13, 2018. Be sure to spread the word!
